One of my favorite foods is pizza. It's simple and straight forward: dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. One day I was sick of the same old pizza. I looked in the refrigerator and saw tortilla shells. First I made breadsticks with the tortilla shells (they were okay). Then I thought why not make a pizza on a tortilla (super thin crust pizza!) Yum!
Ingredients
2 tortilla shells
mozzarella cheese
pepperoni
pizza sauce
garlic powder
oregano
(any additional "toppings")
Directions
Preheat oven to 325° F. Once heated place a tortilla on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 4 minutes. Next prepare your "pizza". Layer the tortilla with a generous amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and oregano. Bake for another 4 minutes or until cheese is melted. Once the cheese is melted remove from oven and put the other tortilla shell on top of your already baked tortilla pizza. Bake for approximately 6 more minutes or until top is golden brown. Remove from oven, cut and serve. Enjoy!
